100 Touches

Jonathan P. Purdy on 15-May-2007 at 13:31:57

This one is called 100 touches because each player touches the ball 100 times before the drill is over. Have all players get a partner and a ball. The partners must be facing each other. One partner throws the ball to the players instep. He one times the ball back, must be done 10 times. Then the player throws the ball to the other player's thigh. He/she must trap the ball then pass the ball back. Then to the chest, pass the ball back. Finally the head, one-time back. Keep in mind this is done while one player is jogging backwards and the other jogging forward. The ball must stay off of the pitch. Each body part is done 10 times. Then you switch, have the other player throw the ball. I usually have the players start on one endline and run this drill to the other endline. Stress to them that this is not a race, but a drill to practice your skill.
