Quick Pre-Game Throwing Drill

Often games are scheduled back to back, leaving your team very little warm up time. To make it even more difficult, you can not warm up on the field of in the parking lot. To get the players arms and legs warmed up in a restricted space area this little drill works great. It is called the "bullet drill". Players should have already stretched and wamred up as best they can prior to this drill. The purpose of this drill is to get the players throwing harder and thinking sharply just before game time.
Teams forms two single file lines facing each other about 50 feet apart. First player in Line "A" throws bullet throw to the player in front of line "B". After player throws the ball, they quickly run about 15 feet to the left and sprint to the back of the opposite line (B).
The player who catches the ball, steps and throws a bullet back to the next player in line A. The pattern repeats for about 5 minutes.
Players will be breathing heavy and their arms will be warm and ready.
If a player overthrows his target player, the player maknig the bad throw must run after it and run the ball back to the coach before getting back in line.
The coach should have about 3 balls ready to toss to the front of a line in case of an overthrow.
