Learning how to read offensive linemen's stances and body language can be a large advantage fo rthe defense. Most offensive linemen, when they approach the ball, will look around to identify blocking assignments. Sometimes, they will look directly at their assignment before they get into their stance. When an Offensive gaurd looks at a Defensive end on the other side of the field, he may be about to pull and attempt to cut the defensive end's legs. If he stares at one linebacker before the snap of the ball, he may be about to attempt to block or cut him.
