Getting the ball down the field

Mark Landrum on 15-May-2007 at 13:31:57

This is a good drill to get your team to get the ball down the field for a breakaway or 1 on 1 situation. Have 2 players, one defenender and one forward on each half of the field. Starting on either end, the goal is for the 2 offensive players to get the ball past the defender and to the forward. They get 1 point for each successfull pass. If the defender gets the ball, he gets one point and tries to get the ball to the two offensive players on the other end of the field. It's fun, once they get the hang of it.
