Goalie Diving

Coach Clements on 15-May-2007 at 13:31:57

When stopping a break away you need to make sure that your hands reach the ball first while maintaining your head behind your arms. This will help keep your head safe and protect the rest of your body from being kicked. You should come at the ball from an angle and not straight on. If you slide for the ball legs first you are more likely to be kicked in the ribs and not save the shot. You could also take out the attacker without touching the ball and receive a red card.
