when in goal you need to have a die hard train of thought first your playing for blood secondly to win you can't let the ball by you to do that you got to think oh i won't get hurt i'll just have a blak and blue mark or concusion at the worst then when there are shots to the side with every strength in your mind and body dive like there is no tomarrow dive for your team you get hurt and block the ball who cares you helped your team and they will be thankful in the long run when a ball is shot at you close your legs and retrieve then when retrieving the ball always remember to have your hands in the shape of a "w" to keep the ball in your control when the person with the ball is directly in front of you move a step or two up to decrease the area you have to cover by 10 to 50 percent but the most important job as a goal keeper is communication with your sweeper and other defense men when all of the team is on the same page on where the ball is to go the game becomes a whole lot easier not only for you but the whole team to increase your chances of winning formulate 3 plans on how to get the ball to the defence and on how to get the ball to the mid fielders how to get the ball to the forwards. the goal keeper probably has the hardesy job and if you are a goalie you already know the training is harder and if your going to become a goalie your looking forward to alot of soar nights good luck and hope this was help to you.
