Keepin

Tyler Edwardsen on 15-May-2007 at 13:31:57

Ok I have been a soccer goal keeper for years and years. I have a pretty low amount of goals that have been scored on me. Goalkeeper is the hardest postion to play on the feild. You need to know everything that is happening, somewhat be able to predict the future. This is an all-around tip. In the goal you need to be a wall. If you see an oppurtunity to get the ball get off your line and go get it. Weither it be a one-on-one or a ball that is four feet infront of the 18. If you have a shot at it, then take the shot and go for it. Also a ball that is coming from an angle; you need to cut off the angle as best as u can. Run towards the player and possition yourself so there is no way he/she can score near post. Nothing in the world is worse then getting scored on near post. Make yourself as 'big' as possible. Anything in the 18 is your ball. So make it yours.
